The Daytona State men's cross country team capitalized on a flat and faster course at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando on Saturday.  Led by Freshman Andy Martinez with a 10th place finish and a podium spot, the Falcons saw solid performances from not only Martinez, but placed five runners in the top 34.  "We had seven guys under 29 minutes today.  Jesse Barral ran the kind of race I've been waiting to see him run.  We knew he had it in him, but today really opened doors for him." Coach Judy Wilson said.  The Falcons placed behind Youngstown State, a Division 1 team, and Palm Beach Atlantic, a Division 2 team.  

Next up for the Falcons is the Region 8 Championships on October 25th (Friday) at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. The men's race will go off at 8am.
