Daytona State boasts some of the best facilities available at a state college.

The L. Gale Lemerand Health, Wellness and Community Education Center houses a 1,000-seat gymnasium, fitness center, aquatic center, and related classrooms and academic programs.

Our playing fields and courts also stand among the best in the Florida college system. The 1,000-seat gymnasium provides a quality environment for excited fans!

The baseball complex, one of only two lighted fields in the Mid-Florida Conference, has a permanent press box, a concession stand and a section of chair-back seating. The softball complex, also lighted, includes palm trees lining the outfield fence, giving the field that true Florida atmosphere.

Both baseball and softball fields are laser leveled each year to provide the best surface and drainage capability for spring season, and both fields are maintained daily by the college Facilities Services Division.

The soccer stadium is the newest facility on campus and hold 800 seats. The soccer stadium is home to both men's and women's soccer teams and will host the 2018 NJCAA Men's Soccer Torunament. 

Daytona State's health, wellness, fitness, recreation and athletics facilities are among the nation's best. The state-of-the-art facilities are one of the many reasons our athletic programs are a force to be reckoned with.

The Lady Falcons took the NJCAA National Championship in Women's Golf in 2018, their 10th national title since 2003. Daytona State hosted the 2021 NJCAA National Golf Championships at their home course - the Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club.

The soccer stadium had its ribbon cutting ceremony in October 2017. The 800-seat soccer stadium on the Daytona Beach Campus will serve as the home for both men's and women's soccer teams. The stadium also will serve as a venue for local soccer clubs, school groups, and other community partners. It will become a hub for soccer clinics, prep and club sports, as well as for college activities such as a Homecoming tailgate parties and movie nights to be hosted throughout the year by the Student Government Association. Lastly, the stadium will serve as a learning laboratory for students pursuing the college’s new Associate of Science in Television Production degree. It offers a real-world practicum as students participate in live broadcasting of the soccer matches on the college’s public TV station, WDSC 15.

The 5,500 square foot Fitness Center is an excellent resource for the students, offering a line of Cybex resistance-training equipment including free weights and various benches, a line of plate-loaded machines and a complete line of Cybex VR-3 selectorized equipment with a 19-piece Cybex VR-3 circuit and 3.2 tons of free weights.

Additionally, a comprehensive cardiovascular workout is available using the 27-piece aerobic arena that consists of stair climbers, elliptical trainers, treadmills, recumbent and stationary bikes, rowing machines, Airdynes, and spinning bikes complete with audiovisual and DVD programs. Group exercise classes are also offered in cardio cross training, core strength, water aerobics, and yoga.

A 25-yard-by-25-meter competitive pool and a 3,300 square-foot support facility offer a complete aquatic experience. The pool is open year-round, is humidity and climate controlled, and is staffed with certified lifeguards. The pool also has a ramp and automatic chairlift for full access by those with disabilities requiring such accomodations.
