Going into the opening round of the FCSAA Tournament, the 10th ranked, Lady Falcons (23-7) would be faced with the difficult task of upsetting 3rd ranked, Northwest Florida who was boasting a 26-3 record on the season. Daytona State College was eliminated in their opening round despite a strong effort by the Falcons and an impressive individual performance by Brittney Chambers.

The Falcons played hard and kept the ball game close until the closing minutes when the Falcons saw the game slip out of reach, falling to the Raiders 65-79.

The Falcons were led by an impressive performance from freshman guard, Brittney Chambers.  Chambers provided 26 points in the Falcons offense landing 48% of her shots from the field.  She also contributed 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists to Daytona State’s overall performance.
