Falcons Achieve Highest National Ranking in Program History

The Daytona State women's cross country team is making history this season and it is not going unnoticed.  Led by Giovana Meade and Shannon Jones, the Falcons are ranked fourth in the latest USTCCCA poll.  This is the team's highest ranking ever.  "It's really nice to see the women's team come together this year.  It's a great group and we have six that returned from last year, which is a huge help in moving the program forward.  Shannon and Giovana have done a great job of leading the team, and I think many of our other runners will surprise themselves in October and beyond." commented Coach Judy Wilson, now in her sixth season as men's and women's coach.

Next up for the Falcons is the Florida State Invitational on September 29th at Apalachee Regional Park, the site of the Region 8 meet which takes place on October 24th
