The Falcons head to Alligator Lake Park in Lake City on Friday Sep 18th to compete at 5000 meters against six teams from Region 8 and NAIA teams from Florida and southern Georgia.  The Falcons will look to Sara Mott and Harleigh Bilz, both from DeLand, to place high against Region 8 rival team Pasco Hernando.  "In cross country, it really helps to have someone up in the front of the race, especially as the field size increases." Wilson explained.  "Both Sara and Harleigh put in a lot of work over the summer and they use each other to push the pace.  This will be Harleigh's first cross country race since her senior year in high school in 2013.  She stepped away from the sport after high school, and we are very excited that she joined us this fall."  The Falcons will look for Caitlyn Norfolk, Nathaly Abastida, and Julia Uvalle to finish out the top five.  "All three have been training well together and will need to break into the top 15 at this race if we are going to finish well as a team."  Wilson said.  Other Falcons competing are Abigail Koshiol and Angel Khrino.  Gun time for the women's race is 5:30pm. Results can be found at:  http://b3rsports.com/2020-alligator-lake-invitational/
