Yasmin Kuck Inks Letter of Intent with Stetson University Beach

On November 14th when athletes all over the country where signing their letters of commitment to play collegiate athletics, Daytona State College's Yasmin Kuck, was joining in the anticipation and elation.

Kuck joined the Lady Falcons in 2017 and for the next two seasons, she would trade the sand for the gym, putting beach volleyball on hold while she expanded her indoor game.  Kuck is partial to beach, having an extensive background that includes participation with the French Beach National Team.  However, she saw Daytona State as an opportunity to play collegiate volleyball in the United States, launch her academics, and open the door to future opportunities that would potentially include collegiate beach volleyball.

Kuck had an impressive sophomore season for the Lady Falcons.  She became a go-to attacker in the Falcon's offense.  "She grew a lot as a player from her freshman year to her sophomore season.  She got stronger, more explosive, and expanded her skills indoor," commented Head Coach, Laura Stegall on Kuck's marked improvement.  "Kuck became a force in our offense and someone we looked to in crunch situations to make big-time plays."

Kuck's body of work this season, which included significant growth as an attacker and a defender, earned her a position on the 1st Team All-Conference for the Mid-Florida Conference.  Kuck competed in 27 matches this season recording 252 kills and 219 digs.

Kuck will graduate in December from Daytona State College and will join the Hatters this spring to take on her first season as a Hatter Beach Volleyball player.

"We are excited to watch Kuck compete this spring for Stetson.  She is a competitor and exceptional athlete.  Hopefully she is able to leave a mark on Stetson Beach Volleyball like she has on Falcon Volleyball."
