Yibirin Moves on to Johnson & Wales University-Miami

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (dscfalcons.com)- The Daytona State women's soccer program is proud to announce that sophomore, Caterina Yibirin, has signed on to join the Johnson & Wales University-Miami, Wildcats for the Fall 2017 season.

Cat, originally from Coral Springs, Florida, began her collegiate career at Andrew College in Georgia and transferred to Daytona State following her freshman year. "Being a college athlete for the past two years has been an amazing experience. During these years, I have improved as a player, a student, and as a person. I am very thankful for the opportunity to have played JUCO (Junior College) for two years and now having the opportunity to move on to a 4-year program," said Yibirin.

"I am beyond grateful for my coaches, teammates, and family that have gotten me to this point. I chose JWU because it was everything I was looking for in a university. JWU is a great academic school especially in regards to my major. It has an excellent soccer program where I can see myself developing ever further as a player. I look forward to playing for Coach Eric. I cannot wait to become a part of this program at JWU."

Cat will be studying Hospitality and Tourism Management at JWU.
