Women's Soccer Earns National Ranking

For the third week in a row the Daytona State Women's Soccer Program has earned a spot in two separate national polls.  The Falcons are ranked in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll as well as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).  Both polls are voted on by coaches and administrators within the NJCAA.

Despite not playing a contest in over a week due to Hurricane Matthew the Falcons improved their position within both polls.  Within the National Junior College Athletic Association the Falcons moved up one spot to #17.  Additionally, the Falcons also improved their position within the NSCAA poll as they were ranked #10.  The recent NSCAA poll marks the first time the Falcons have been voted into the top 10 for this season and in Program History.

The Falcons are entering the final three weeks of the regular season and have 4 games remaining on their schedule before the Region tournament.  Two of the remaining 4 games are against Eastern Florida State College, who is ranked #1 in the NJCAA and NSCAA polls.  The other two games are against in region opponents Broward College and Polk State College.

The Falcons will next take on Broward College on October 17th at 4pm.  The game will be played on the campus of Embry Riddle on the multipurpose field across from the Tennis Center.  Admission to the game is free to the public.
