Falcons Game vs. ASA MIami Postponed due to Lightning

The Falcons were set to kick off against in Region opponent, ASA Miami, on Wednesday afternoon in Daytona Beach.  The Falcons entered the game ranked #19th in the country due in large part their victory the previous weekend over nationally ranked Darton State.  The start of the game was delayed by over 2 hours due to lightning.  The game eventually kicked off before being stopped a 2nd time for lightning at the 55th minute mark.

In order for a game to be an official contest at least 70 minutes must be completed.   Since the 2nd lightning strike came at the 55th minute the game was finished and does not count as an actual contest.  At the time the game ended the Falcons were winning the contest 3-0.

The Falcons face their next in Region opponent on Saturday when they travel to Lakeland to face Polk State.  Polk State is currently 4-1-1 and just suffered their first loss of the season this past weekend against Eastern Florida State College.
