Kresber Commits to 2016 Inaugural Women's Soccer Team

The Daytona State College Women's Soccer team welcomes #16 Maia Krebser to the program this fall.  Krebser is a Bradenton, Florida native where she played for both Manatee High School and the IMG Academies.

"I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Maia. She is a player that I had the chance to observe during my time with Florida Southern and one of the first players I reached out to once I decided to join Daytona State College.  I admire her tireless work rate and the selflessness she displays on the field.  She plays a very physically demanding position, but is always the first to cover for her teammates if needed" stated Coach Jones.
During her high school career Maia competed for Manatee High School in track and field as well as soccer.  She helped Manatee win the District Soccer Championship in 2013 and 2014.  Additionally, she recently won the U19 State Cup Championship with IMG.  Her IMG team will prepare to compete at the Regional Tournament this summer.
"Maia will add a great deal to our program with her character and determination.  I am looking forward to helping her move toward her dream of continuing her collegiate career" stated Jones.  Maia will be joined at DSC this fall by her older sister Michaella, making the two the first sibling pair to play within the program.
