MADISON TENORE FINISHES 2ND AT MERCER INVITATIONAL, TEAM FINISHES 9TH

Macon, GA (November 1, 2022) – Daytona State sophomore, Madison Tenore led her team and finished 2nd at the Mercer Invitational held at the Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, GA.   Tenore posted scores of 70-74-73 (217) and finished just 3 shots out of the lead.  “Madison played really well and I’m really happy for her,” stated Coach Laura Brown.  The course was very challenging, and this was a fantastic finish.  Madison has been working hard on playing more relaxed and I believe this played a big factor in her top performance.”

 The team finished 9th overall in the 15-team field competition with team scores of 306-304-302 (912).  Other DSC scores included Angelica Holman who shot scores of 80-74-77 (231) and finished in a tie for 45th with fellow Lady Falcon Ashleigh Angelo, who posted scores of 78-76-77 (231).  Analiese Raath finished in a tie for 49th with scores of 78-80-75 (233), Alexis Rieli finished in a tie for 73rd with scores of 80-78-82 (240), Kaley Amuso finished 80th with scores of 79-80-86 (245) and Rachel Carson finished 81st with scores of 83-81-82 (246).

 

This completes the fall season for the Lady Falcons.  They are set to return to competition February 13-14 at the Sea Best Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, FL.
