ANGELICA HOLMAN FINISHES 2ND AT FLAGLER FALL SLAM, TEAM FINISHES 3RD

St. Augustine (October 25, 2022) – Daytona State freshman, Angelica Holman finished 2nd at the Flagler Fall Slam held at Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, FL.  Holman posted scores of 75-70 (145) and finished just 3 shots out of the lead.  Holman’s impressive play on the back nine of the final round included 5 birdies in 6 holes.  “Angelica really made a charge on her final nine holes today and it was so much fun to watch. She had a really good chance to win her first collegiate event and I’m really proud of her and her performance today” said Coach Laura Brown.

 The team had a solid overall showing with their 3rd place finish in the 18-team field competition with team scores of 306-296 (602).   The Falcons finished just 8 shots behind tournament champion and tournament host Flagler College who had scores of 303-291 (594) and 2 shots behind team runner-up Nova Southeastern who had scores of 303-297 (600).  Madison Tenore had a great final round and finished in a tie for 7th with scores of 78-71 (149). Other DSC players included Ashleigh Angelo who tied for 15th with scores of 78-74 (152), Rachel Carlson who posted scores of 75-81 (156) finishing in a tie for 28th, Analiese Raath who finished tied for 43rd with scores of 81-78 (159) and Alexis Rieli who finished in a tie for 56th with scores of 79-83 (162).

 The Lady Falcons will compete in their final fall event next week, as they are set to compete in the Mercer Invitational in Macon, GA. October 31st – November 1st.
