Women's Golf Student-Athletes Honored by WGCA

--Daytona Beach, FL

The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced the 2017-2018 All-American Scholars in Coral Springs, Florida today. A total of 1,011 women were selected for this incredible honor. To earn this pretigious honor the student-athlete must complete the school year with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. This criteria is one of the stringent in all of college athletics. 

Daytona State College athletics department is proud to announce seven members of the Daytona State Women's Golf team have received this honor. Congratulations to Alison Crenshaw, Elizabeth Jackson, Grace St-Germain, Jiwon Jeon, Sadie Chlapowski, and Kendall Johnson. 

The student-athletes selected for this honor come from all over the collegite levels and divisions including the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. 

About the Women’s Golf Coaches Association

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
