Falcon Golf Team Continues Push to Capture the 2018 NJCAA National Title at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona

The Falcons continued their 2018 NJCAA national title defense on Wednesday at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona by carding a team round of 287 (865), to take a thirty-three stroke lead into the final round of the four-day tournament.  The Falcons are competing to earn their tenth team national title in 2018.  The hot Arizona weather continues to be a part of this year's tournament, but the Falcons continue to focus on their goal of claiming the team title.  The Falcons continue to hold a comfortable lead over rival Seminole State College (FL) who posted a 284 (898).

The top five teams after the third round of championship play are as follows:

1. Daytona State College – 298/289/287 (865) (+1)
2. Seminole State College (FL) – 308/306/284 (898) (+34)
3. McLennan Community College – 338/313/316 (967) (+75)
4. Dodge City Community College – 334/319/316 (969) (+77)
5. Western Texas Community College – 329/317/331 (977) (+70) 

The Falcons were lead in round three of the tournament by sophomore Jiwon Jeon (69), Grace St-Germain (72), freshman Hollie Muse (74), and sophomore Kendall Johnson (72).

All five of the Falcon golfers are currently in the top ten entering the final round of play of the championship match play scoring.  (1) Jiwon Jeon – 212; (2) Grace St-Germain – 213; (5) Hollie Muse – 219; (6) Kendall Johnson – 224; (10) Alison Crenshaw – 232.

The Falcons will tee off on Thursday to begin the final round of championship play.
