Falcon Golf Team Continues NJCAA National Title Defense at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona

The Falcons continued their 2018 NJCAA national title defense on Tuesday at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona by carding a second consecutive one over par team round of 289 (598), to take a thirty-six stroke lead into day three of the four-day tournament.  The Falcons are competing to earn their tenth team national title in 2018.  The team once again weathered the very hot and dry Arizona conditions to push their comfortable lead over rival Seminole State College (FL) who posted a 306 (614).

The top five teams after the second round of championship play are as follows:

  1. Daytona State College – 298/289 (598) (+2)
  2. Seminole State College (FL) – 308/306 (614) (+38)
  3. Western Texas Community College – 329/317 (646) (+70)
  4. McLennan Community College – 338/313 (651) (+75)
  5. Dodge City Community College – 334/319 (653) (+77)

The Falcons were lead in round two of the tournament by sophomore Jiwon Jeon (69), Grace St-Germain (70), freshman Hollie Muse (73), and freshman Alison Crenshaw (77).  The Falcons will tee off on Wednesday to begin third round play.
