JIWON JEON HAS RECORD SETTING VICTORY AT UNF COLLEGIATE

Jacksonville, FL (March 6, 2018) – Daytona State sophomore, Jiwon Jeon won the UNF Collegiate with an impressive record-breaking performance.  Jeon shot scores of 66-69-67 (202) for a 14-under par total (202) to win by 8 strokes.  "Jiwon played fantastic!  These were the best 3 rounds of golf I have seen her play since her record breaking performance this past fall at the Furman event.   Her dominating performance was a result of great ball striking and a hot putter," said Coach Laura Brown.

The team finished 4th overall in the 17 team field competition with team scores of 286-306-295 (887).  Other DSC scores included Hollie Muse who shot scores of 71-83-75 (229) and finished in a tie for 38th with fellow Lady Falcon Elizabeth Jackson, who posted scores of 78-75-76 (229). Grace St-Germain finished in a tie for 55th with scores of 77-79-78 (234), Harlie Valinho finished 85th with scores of 82-83-84 (249) and Kendall Johnson finished 93rd, but played very well posting scores of 72-72-77, but was unfortunately disqualified in her 2nd round due to an incorrect scorecard.

The Lady Falcons return to competition March 10th and 11th, as they are set to compete in the UF Lady Gator Invitational hosted by University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
