LADY FALCON FINISH 2ND AT JU AMELIA ISLAND COLLEGIATE

Fernandina Beach, FL (February20, 2018) – The Daytona State Lady Falcon's women's golf team finished at the top of the field with Campbell University in the recent JU Amelia Island Collegiate.  The Lady Falcon's finished in a tie for 1st as a team, but had to settle for 2nd place after a scorecard playoff.  The Falcons shot team scores of 290-289-299 (878) to finish at 14 over par in the 15 team field.

"This was a great event for my team and I am very happy with how they all performed, said Coach Laura Brown.  It was tough to lose in a scorecard playoff, but we finished in a tie for the top team spot so my players were overall happy.  This was a great way to start the spring season and I anticipate this will provide them with a lot of momentum as we head into one of the toughest spring seasons to date."
