Falcons Are Ready to Defend Their National Title

The Daytona State women's golf team hopes to bring home their ninth national title this week at the 2017 NJCAA Women's Golf Championship in Duluth, Georgia. Teams from around the country will tee off on Monday, May 15, for the four-day tournament at the Chateau Elan just outside Atlanta.

Last year, the Falcons took the top team and individual titles at the tournament, which was held on their home course at LPGA. With a host of talent on this year's squad, DSC hopes to best the competition once again.

Off the course, the women's golf team is also tremendously successful. This past fall, they posted a team GPA of 3.94, their highest to date. In 2016, their success in the classroom earned Daytona State women's golf the NJCAA's highest honor as the National Women's Academic Team of the Year. Once spring grades are in, the team hopes to hold onto that title as well as their competition crown.
