Falcons Fight to Finish in win over Indian River

Daytona Beach, FL – Falcons fight through the finish in a battle versus Indian River to secure the 81-71 win. Second half defense and converting on the offensive end led to big games by five Falcons in double digits with two recording double-doubles.

Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 8-for-12 field goal, 2-for-3 free throw, and 1 block recording her sixth double-double of the year. 

Other Falcons in the mix Sophomore Guard Bella Weary added 17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 steals. Sophomore  Forward Nia Brown chipped in 15 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks for her second double-double of the year with Sophomore Center Alicia Spann scoring 15 points, snagging 6 rebounds in 13 minutes of play. Sophomore Guard Tasia Johnson added 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals of her own. 

Kendal Moxey stated. "We spent these off days leading up to this game working really hard on the court and weight room, we knew we needed to start 2024 right! excited to get the win." 

The Falcons are on the road Wednesday , January 10th at Santa Fe College at 5:00 p.m.
