Falcons Fall in fight versus #7 Pensacola State

Americus, GA – Falcons led through one quarter of play in a battle versus #7 Pensacola State on Saturday Afternoon. Daytona State cut the lead to eight points in the fourth quarter but fell 87-68 to the Pirates. 

The Falcons were led by Sophomore Guard Tasia Johnson with 15 points, 4-for-13 field goal, 3-for-6 3pt, 4-for-6 free throws, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. 

Sophomore Guard Bella Weary added 14 points, and 5 steals, Freshman Point Guard Eva Bradshaw finished with 11 points, and 3 assists while Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey chipped in with a double-double 11 points, and 11 rebounds. 

"First and foremost our kids fought, and battled to the finish which im proud of their fight versus a talented team. I felt like we ran out of gas late and missed on some key stops down the stretch. We will address the mistakes for a quick turnaround for game three tomorrow." Head Coach Tron Griffin stated. 

The Falcons are back for the final day at the SGTC Holiday Classic on Sunday December 31st vs. Tallahassee Commuinity College at 4:00 p.m. ET.
