Falcons Fly Past DME

Daytona Beach, FL – Daytona State Women's Basketball returned home Wednesday night for a match up versus the hometown DME Sports Academy Post Grad ending in a 96-59 win for Falcons. Double-digit scoring by Johnson, Bradshaw, Brown, Spann, and Moxey lifted the home team to the win.

Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey finished with her second double-double performance with 20 points 8-for-11 field goal, 4-for-6 free throws, 16 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Sophomore Guard Tasia Johnson added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assist, and 4 steals. Sophomore Nia Brown pitched in with her first double-double performance with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5-for-9 field goal, 2-for-5 3pt, and 2 assist. Sophomore Center Alicia Spann, and Freshman Guard Eva Bradshaw both finished with 11 points.

Kendal Moxey stated. "Overall great team win, we had a good week of prep leading up to the game. It's still early and we have to minimize some of our mistakes on details but it feels good win at home and see my teammates get involved." 

The Falcons are on the road Tuesday Nov. 21st at Tallahassee Community College at 5:30 p.m..
