Daytona State's Basketball Teams Take Aim at Post-Season Play

Daytona State College's ladies basketball team is taking a 28-1 (12-0) regular season record into the post-season as they prepare to take on the Panhandle Conference third place representative.  The Falcons currently find themselves ranked near the top of the FCSAA and NJCAA weekly polls where they have been for most of the season.

The Falcons are currently ranked second in the FCSAA state poll; and they are also ranked second in the NJCAA national poll.  The Falcons are also currently sitting fourth in the Massey Index Rating and entering the tournament on a 27 game winning streak.

Daytona State College's men's basketball team is headed to the state tournament for the third consecutive year as the Mid-Florida Conference champions and they are taking a 24-6 (6-3) record into post-season play. 

The Falcons are currently ranked fourth in the FCSAA Coaches Poll; and they are receiving votes in the NJCAA national poll.  The Falcons are also ranked 26th in the most recent Massey Index Rating and enter the state tournament on a five game winning streak.

The men's team will open play in the 2016 FCSAA/NJCAA State Tournament on Wednesday, March 2nd at 8pm against Polk State College.

The ladies team will begin play on Thursday, March 3rd at 8 pm against tonight's Tallahassee Community College vs. Northwest Florida State College winner.

Semi-Final and Final round games in the 2016 FSCAA/NJCAA State Tournament will be played on Friday, March 4th and Saturday, March 6th.

All games will be played at College of Central Florida which is the host site for the 2016 FCSAA/NJCAA State Tournament.
