Freshman Evan Casterline was honored this past week with Region 8 Runner of the Week and also received the NJCAA National Runner of the Week award for his 6th place overall finish at the FAU Invitational Friday September 1st.  Casterline led the Falcons to the team win, which include 16 teams, five of which were NCAA Division 1.  He is a freshman at Daytona State College and is relatively new to the sport, having only competed one year in high school.  An avid rower, Casterline added running to his schedule his senior year, while continuing to row for a local Orlando club rowing team.   A 2023 graduate of Edgewater High School, he is the son of Rose and Dean Casterline.
