A native of Clermont, Florida, Mitchell Curtis was a member of the 2021 Florida State Track Team Champion Mt Dora Christian Academy. Curtis was instrumental in securing the team win by competing in three events, the 4x800, 800 meters, and the 4x400.
2021 Season in Review: During his freshman year at DSC, Curtis placed 8th at the Region 8 meet and competed for the Falcons at the NJCAA National Championships. He closed out the season with a 27:05 for 8000 meters.
2022 Season Outlook: Curtis is coming off of a solid spring campaign that include a win in the 5000 meters at the CARIFTA Games in the Bahamas in April. Wilson considers Curtis the
