The Daytona State men's cross country team will race at the Disney Cross Country Classic this Saturday, Oct 12th at 7:40am.  The 8000 meter course is known to be flat and fast, and with the cooler temperatures slated for Saturday morning, the Falcons are expecting to see some fast times.  "This is a good opportunity for the guys to set a season or personal best," second year Head Coach Judy Wilson said.  Fifteen teams from Florida,North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Missouri, and Texas will compete, including Region 8 rival Lake Sumter State College.  "We are running three sophomores and seven freshmen.  This will be our first time to have all our top guys together for an 8k.  They have had some very solid workouts lately, so I'm excited to see where we are as a team."  Wilson said.  Sophomores Andrew Guillory and Jesse Barral missed a few races in September due to health issues and are expected to help out up front for the Falcons.  Along with Andy Martinez and Tyler Gilbert, the four have the capability of running faster than Daytona State's first runner from last season.  "From that perspective, the program took a big jump in one year." Wilson said.
