Mastrobuono leads Falcons

Freshman Adam Mastrobuono (Hagerty High School) led the way this past Saturday as the Falcons ran at the Mountain Dew Invitational at the University of Florida.  Mastrobuono ran 29:59, one second under the goal that he set for himself.  "Adam really had a solid performance today.  He went out and got into the race and competed with those around him.  He set a great example today of someone who does the right things and gets ready.  Of course there are always set backs as a freshman, but the more often you can do the right things, the better off you are."  Wilson was disappointed with the team's overall place, "but we just weren't at full strength today.  We were without three of our top five guys and that hurts you in any meet, and especially this one.  When that happens though, as a coach, you do want to see people step up.  We've got a good group this year, and I believe in these guys.  I think a lot of them just got overwhelmed out there and did not recover.   They'll be ready to go for the Region 8 meet and the NJCAA meet."
