The Daytona State Mens Cross Country team finished 5th out of 11 teams at The Border Clash meet at Valdosta State University on Friday night. "All the teams ahead of us were NCAA Div II so we are happy about that. We certainly could have run better, but this was coming off our break from the hurricane. We need to get back into our routine now and train hard." Coach Judy Wilson said.
The team was lead by freshman Andy Martinez who finished in 17th place with a time of 25:27. Other Falcon runners were Jesse Barral in 25th Place with a time of 25:56, Tyler Gilbert in 32nd place with a time of 26:31 Andrew Guillory in 33rd place with a time of 26:32 and Tyler Baker in 40th Place with a time of 27:08. The Falcons are back in action on September 14th at University of Florida.
