David made history in becoming the first recruit to commit to DSC in December of 2017. His commitment helped Coach Wilson attract other runners, and the team eventually won their first Region 8 Championship in their first season. “David is a very hard working and structured guy. He worked his way to a top five spot for us in meets and we found his niche in the spring when he competed in a half marathon.
Outlook for fall of 2019 per Wilson: “With a year of development, David will hopefully be competing in the Half Marathon Championships this fall after the Cross Country Championships. He is one of our guys who can go out and set a pace and maintain it. He is well suited for that longer distance race and we are adjusting workouts for him to be ready for that challenge.”
