No. 12 Men’s Soccer Tie with No. 1 Monroe College

Last night, the No.12 ranked Daytona State College men's soccer team tied 1-1 with the reigning National Champions and No.1 ranked Monroe College.

The Falcons met the Monroe Mustangs in Melbourne, Florida, where the Mustangs lifted the 2022 National Championship trophy. With only a total of ten shots on the night, split 6-4 in the Mustangs' favor, the Falcons became the second team to score against the Mustangs this season.

Monroe would take the lead in the first half in the 35th minute after a volley from 18-yards out. The Falcons response would come just 3 minutes into the second half. Didier Jean Baptiste from Boynton Beach, Florida scored his 7th goal this year after beating the Mustangs goalkeeper on the dribble to find himself with an open goal.

The Falcons next match will be at home for Homecoming versus Southern Union State College on Saturday, October 7th at 11am.
