No. 12 Falcons Improve to 7 Wins on the Season

The No. 12 ranked Daytona State College men's soccer improved to 7-2-1 on the season after a road trip to Georgia and South Carolina.

The Falcons first stop was Milledgeville, Georgia where they faced the Georgia Military College Bulldogs for the second time this season. The Falcons would go into half time leading 2-0 with goals by Cale Saunders (New Smyrna Beach, Florida) and Didier Jean Baptiste (Boynton Beach, Florida).

The Bulldogs would find the back of the net twice scoring in the 52nd and 72nd minute of the match to tie up the game. With just 4 minutes left in the match, Damian Rodgers set up Hector Moreno for the game winner with a right footed strike that Bulldogs goalkeeper would not be able to keep out the net.

Continuing their trip to South Carolina, the Falcons would face USC-Lancaster in their final game of the weekend.

The Falcons took an early lead in the first half with a left footed strike from sophomore captain, Emmanuel Denis (Paris, France) in the 4th minute. Adding to the scoring in the first half would be Carlos Zambrano, Cale Saunders, and Kevin Londono.

Outshooting the Lancers' 17-2 in the second half, the Falcons would find the back of the net four more times in the second half. Freshmen Cale Saunders and Kevin Londono would each score their second goal of the day, and Kyle Cushing-Meehan and Christ Ngongar would collect their first goals of the weekend to make the game 8-1.

Next up for the Falcons is the reigning National Champions and No. 1 ranked Monroe College on Thursday, October 5th in Melbourne, Florida at 7pm.
