Local Goalkeeper, Will Diaz, Gets National Recognition

Will Diaz was recognized as the NJCAA National Goalkeeper of the week.  Diaz a product of the Orlando City MLS soccer club has been unblemished this season.  Will has recorded a shutout in all his matches for the Falcons.

Goals against average

Goals Save Percentage 

"Will is a class act and great keeper.  I just can't say enough good things about this young man.  His work rate both on and off the field are great, and he has a 3.9 GPA," said Coach Sasnett.  When he was told about the great news, he replied, "It's an Honor to be recognized. I just wish Marco Tavares (London, England) could be recognized as well." Marco is his counterpart in the goal and is also unblemished this season and tied with Will in the same goalkeeping statistics. Both are doing an amazing job and realize the team in front of them make it possible.  

Daytona State is 4-0-1 and ranked 11th nationally.  The Falcons continue play Monday, April 26 at USC Salkehatchie, SC @ 2:00pm.
