Previous Players of Sasnett Receive Accolades at the University Level

A familiar name to the Daytona State College Men's Soccer Team family is Rory O'Keeffe. O'Keeffe was a two-year starter at center back for the Falcons during his time at DSC. He went on to graduate from Daytona State College to continue his career at Midwestern State University where he was noted with numerous accolades. O'Keeffe became MSU Texas' first D2CCA first-team All-American since 2010. O'Keeffe was also named the top defender award for the Heartland Conference.  He also received D2CCA All-Region honors for the first-team and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region second-team.

Another name that is not familiar to Daytona State College is Sean Hoffstatter. Before Head Coach Bart Sasnett made his way to Daytona State College, he was a successful coach at the junior college powerhouse Darton State in Albany, Georgia, where he coached Sean. When Sasnett left Darton State, Hoffstatter received a scholarship to the University of West Florida and decided to continue his playing career there. This season he was named to the 2018 D2CCA All-America Third Team. The Fort Walton Beach native is the 10th All-American for the program since 2006. He was also named the GSC Player of the Year and to the All-GSC First Team.

Coach Sasnett has now coached 17 All-Americans during his tenure as head coach.
