The Daytona State College Falcons faced the Broward College Seahawks on Wednesday night at the Broward Soccer Complex in their final regular season match. All Daytona needed to earn the #1 seed in the Region was to win the match and that is exactly what they did.

With a 2-0 victory over Broward College last night, Daytona State College has solidified the #1 seed in Region 8 and will advance and host the upcoming NJCAA District Soccer Playoff's. Daytona State College will host the winner of Region 17, the #4 seed Georgia Military, on Friday, November 4^th.

The Falcons ended their regular season with an overall record of 15-2 and went 7-2 in conference play. The Falcons scored a total of 50 goals in 17 games, averaging 2.94 goals per game.

"I am proud of what the team has accomplished thus far," says head coach Bart Sasnett. "We still have a long road ahead of us and we are going to take it one game at a time."

Game time for Friday's match against Georgia Military is TBD. The winner of that match will play the winner of the #2 and #3 seed game on Saturday, November 5^th with time TBD.
