Brandon Berg, a transfer from Darton State College, will be Coach Sasnett's first signed player to Daytona State College.  Berg played for Sasnett as a freshman starting every game and was selected 1st team All GCAA.  The 6'3" center back is a native of Sebastian, FL where he played at Sebastian River High School.  Brandon was also captain for his club team, Space Coast United, who won back-to-back Florida State Cup championships.

The Daytona State men's soccer team will begin its inaugural season in August.  Head Coach, Bart Sasnett stated "Brandon displays strong leadership skills that are vital for a first year program, I think Brandon also brings a lot to the table with his ability to win head balls, build from the back, and defending one-on-one."

When Berg was asked why Daytona State, he stated, "It's close to home and I believe we can win a National Championship."  Coach Bart believes players like Brandon that are of good character, strong work ethic, and committed to team success will build the strong foundation of a successful Falcon program.
