Daytona State Men's basketball team, ranked #13 in the NJCAA, improved to 5-0 on the season with a 119-71 victory over Florida Coastal Prep. The Falcons shot 53% from the field and forced 23 turnovers in a lopsided contest.
Josue Grullon, last week's Region 8 Player of the Week, again led all scorers with 29 points. Five other Falcons scored in double figures. Kylin Green finished with 11 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Huascar Cuevas 14 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Isaiah Dorceus 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Mekhi Grant nearly had a double-double in just 13 minutes of action with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Breylin Garcia 13 points and 5 rebounds. Victor Panov 9 points and 10 rebounds.
