Men's Basketball 3.55 GPA- Best in Program History

The Daytona State Men's Basketball program excelled in the classroom this summer by achieving a 3.55 GPA. Seven student-athletes completed a total of 54 credit hours. This summer was the highest GPA that the Men's Program has ever achieved. Coach Morris stated "We try to create value for our players through academic support and personnel development. I'm proud of our students for their performance in the classroom. The ball stops bouncing for everyone at some point, it is critical we develop our student athletes in all areas."

Every student athlete finished with a 3.0 GPA or higher! The Falcons had one 4.0 GPA and five over the 3.5 GPA mark. Coach Morris stated "We strive to educate our student athletes of the value their academic performance can create for their futures. The group this summer believed in this vision our staff created and worked extremely hard to achieve positive results."  Morris continued "we try to encourage our players to raise their individual expectations for themselves and then we will be able to do so collectively. We are excited to work with these student athletes and develop the full person academically, socially, spiritually, and athletically."
