Falcons Improve to 3-0 After Third Straight Game Scoring 100 Points
Daytona State (3-0) picked up their third win of the season tonight (11/9/18) against Miami Dade! The game proved to be a run and gun offensive showcase. DSC displayed great poise after some adversity they faced throughout the game. Bryce Williams, Ole Miss commit, led the scoring for the Falcons tonight with 26 points. Khadim Sy and Jordan Coblin followed that with 23 and 14 points respectively.

We followed up with Coach Morris after the game; “We were very pleased with our overall focus and intensity tonight. The players showed great poise when we got into some foul trouble and the game got tight down the stretch. Miami Dade is a really good team with a lot of fire power. We had to play forty minutes of tough disciplined basketball. “

What do you take from this game? Morris, “Well I think we found our gut tonight. We dug down deep and found a way to win. That trait is critical for teams to win in this league. There are so many good teams throughout our region, we know each night we be a battle.”

Three straight games scoring over 100 points, give us your thoughts on this teams offensive performance? Morris, “We have several players who can score the basketball, we like to have a multiple option offense. When we share the ball, play aggressive, and rebound we have a chance each night to score. When our defense catches up with our offense we will have a chance.”

What do you need to improve on moving forward? Morris, “Well I think there are always area’s to grow. We need to get a little better in all areas. Specifically we need to guard better and do that without fouling. Learning how to play hard, play defense, but doing so without fouling is critical.”

The Falcons will face Hillsborough tomorrow afternoon at 4PM. The game can be seen on the HCC website.
