Gibson Ranks as Nation’s Top 25 NJCAA Assistant Coaches

Daytona State Men's Basketball Assistant Coach, Ian Gibson, was recently recognized as one of the nation's top 25 Junior College assistant coaches.  CoachStat.net recently posted this prestigious ranking.   

CoachStat.net comprehensively ranks men's college basketball coaches utilizing a variety of categorical taxonomies throughout the basketball season.  To ensure the most accurate rankings, CoachStat.net utilizes analytical data, as well as, a voting panel that consists of national college basketball media, scouts, former and retired coaches, and other individuals with a pulse on the profession and the coaches who in the NJCAA basketball community.

Coach Gibson is in his third year as a Falcon's assistant and has been instrumental in helping the Falcons claim two Mid-Florida Conference championships.  Additionally, his valued coaching and mentoring of the 2016-2017 Falcon Men's Basketball program has led them to their current first place position in the Mid-Florida Conference.

Coach Gibson was recognized for having a huge impact on the program while demonstrating success in two year athletics development, coaching, professional and ethical conduct, academic development, recruiting, practice and game planning, and game management.
